I love vintage sheets.
The great quality cotton. The beautiful colours and prints.
It's fantastic when you visit an op-shop and walk out with a huge piece of fabric.
Usually for only a few measly dollars.
I've been lucky enough to find complete sets still in their packaging.
As well as a beautiful blue and green flannalette sheet.
A couple of years ago I made a bunch of shopping bags using some of vintage sheets.
Although I really hated cutting up the fabric initially, they looked so lovely all hanging up displayed together when they were finished.
Lately I've been thinking that I'll get my collection out of the cupboard and sew something pretty.
Perhaps I'll give quilting a go.
Or maybe some skirts for when summertime comes around.
