I've been busy this week. Very productive. Making things that I really wanted to make.
Have wanted to make for ages...
Not stuff I needed to make for the market stall.
Things for me. Things for the little man. Things for the house.
New cushion covers. New dress. Jarmies. Assorted pouches and purses.
But the other afternoon, my lovely husband came home with a present for me.
An iPad. My very own. Yay -how lucky am I?
So of course I had to head downstairs to my sewing machine and make a snugly little cover for it.
Denim. With red. And polar-fleece padding in between the layers. Velcro to close.
Fancy. And cosy.

What a lovely pressie! Love your new ipad cover - the denim & red combo always looks fantastic, and I love the mix of the patterned fabrics. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I really want to make a cosy cover for our (my!) ipad too :)

Wow, what a great hubbie! And lovely cover you made. You must be chuffed :-) I'll bet it feels good to make things for your family rather than just for sale. I imagine the pressure's always on to make things to sell. Enjoy your ipad!
ReplyDeleteI Love it, simple design but eye popping. Lucky you to get an ipad!
ReplyDeleteWow, lucky you! Beautiful case you've made for it.
ReplyDeleteOh lovely cover and lucky lucky you :)
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric choices in this! So bold and beautiful together. Yum!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love the simplicity of the design and the fabrics you have chosen. And you're so lucky to have a husband who brings home gifts like that!!
ReplyDeleteWOW it's lovely.
ReplyDeleteMy Mr recently came home with one (a work one for him). I suggested making a groovy cover for it. The instant, wide-eyed look of horror suggested that he would prefer to buy one.
I might show him this so he can see how cool they are!
Cheers
